Club Summary :
The East Kilbride Model Boat Club started in the late sixties and originally sailed in East Kilbride Park Pond. When that pond closed, the club moved to the pond in the John Hastie Park in Strathaven.
During the Winter months, between September and April, the club meet in The Red Deer Centre between 7pm and 9pm every Wednesday evening, where they have use of the woodwork room for model building.
Between May and September, we sail in the pond located in the John Hastie Park, Strathaven on Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm. We are also able to sail on Sunday and Tuesday mornings in the Strathaven Park between 9am and 11am throughout the year.
