Club Summary:
The Borders Model Boat Club welcomes all modellers, though our main interest is in boat modelling.
Club members meet to sail boats on the first Sunday of the month, over the winter period at 12.30pm. In the summer, generally from April to September, we sail on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm. The pond is located centrally in the Scottish Borders, at St Boswells. The club holds two main events in the year, a Club Fun Day and a Club Regatta, generally on a Sunday, the first in late June and the second in late August, at the pond commencing at 12 noon. These events are open to members of the public and of course to members of other Boat Clubs. They are informal days and give visitors an ideal opportunity to meet modellers of all interests and a chance to see a wide variety of craft afloat. Visitors planning to attend are advised to contact the Club Secretary to confirm dates and times before travelling distances.
We also meet monthly throughout the year, on the third Wednesday of each month,in the Royal British Legion Scotland branch in St Boswells, at 7pm, for a programme of talks and demonstrations covering topics of interest to all modellers.
