The Event Report is now published on the main site as are a selection of pictures from the event in a new Gallery 20- all courtesy of Andrew Gray (EMBC Sub Wizard!)

Seems like it was a great day despite a new and extensive outbreak of the dreaded pond weed at Inverleith! Explains the unsolicited camouflage adorning the bridge and periscopes of one of the subs!!
I think the Club needs a new committee post ....... Weed Clearance Officer Laughing

Perhaps Andrew can be persuaded to pop up a couple of links to the Boating Videos forum!!

Andrew

Some of us do not have "facebook" accounts Sad any chance of "puting" them somewhere else, (no, that is a physical impossibility) Shocked ie. "youtube" or Ian's personal favourite "Photobucket" or is that over & above the call of duty.

The model of Astute seen at Edinburgh was not the new version that has only recently launched. This was the HMS Astute (P447) an Amphion –class submarine. Her keel was laid down by Vickers at Barrow-in-Furness and she was launched in 1944 and commissioned in 1945. The model can be seen on its trailer in Gallery 20 – 10th row down, 1st picture. The model is scratch-built utilising the builder’s (Dave Jacques) own dive system.

As regards posting the videos elsewhere – I don’t have a clue how to! They were filmed by an AMS member and he posted them on the AMS Facebook site. Sorry!
