Offhand can any tell me how you get vehicle in weekdays, I had a look from racecourse side but its all barriers, there must be a way of getting within carry distance.

Hi Iain,
Take the road to Preston Grange & Prestonpans (left at the round about) and after you clear the houses look out for a gated entrance on your left.
As I remember it the high level barriers are normally down to prevent high vehicles getting in, but cars are OK.
Follow the very rough track round until you get to the car park area.

Actually I'd be better quoting from the Levenhall RYC site:

About 1/2 mile after the roundabout watch for the entrance to the Levenhall Links Leisure Park on the left just before the Industrial Museum on the right. Follow the park road back towards Musselburgh, keep straight on when the metalled surface finishes. Keep along the unmetalled surface until the race course appears on your left. A short distance later, the track turns right - keep going for another 1/4 mile until you come to a parking area just after the end of the trees on the left. The pond is adjacent to the parking area.
