Was talking to Against Therapy at Queen Park today, he said he would come to Richmond next Sunday, (as there were no open day's on,) for a sail of his Nip.
The Nips were "diving" today, (gale force winds) gusting!!Rolling Eyes Laughing

Anyone else fancy a meet? Question

We could have a relaxing afternoon sail, Aye right. start about 1.30 or 2pm.

Let me know.

Eddie

Its been a while since I wet the under side of my Wee Nip. Given that the cruel sea during GSSMS's open day and of course a faulty RC all but destroyed my Big Nip has psychologically scarred me I need a Wee Nip challenge. Will be there on Sunday for some medicine and the usual chats. Be there or be square….. Twisted Evil

Hi guys.

Appologies for not making it to the pond for the wee nip race. I had every intention to be there and (by golly) win. Unfortunately I went to see the old firm game in the town, batteries and crystals in toe with full intention of being at richmond intime for the second race. Left bar in time only to discover some idiot put a food fyre in georges square. by the time i finished taste testing everything (TWICE) it was about 4:30pm. Any way I hope you guys had a good time with the race and hope to be there for the next one.

appologies

Apologises, Apologies you can't even spell the word, "one p" Rolling Eyes

You ask for a meet & don't bother to attend Crying or Very sad what if everyone took that attitude, you would find people going to golf instead, right Johnnie Laughing

Well, Against Therapy, even the wind decided not to play!!!!

McPhail & myself worked on young Kevin's Nip to iron out his linkage problem, he tried it out in the no wind conditions & guess what Question your right, he decided not to play Crying or Very sad

Can you see a trend developing here Exclamation

Eventually, McPail, Colin & myself decided to play. Colin's Nip got "poo'd" upon by a bird & oh yes Red boat won, McPail wanted me to let the whole of cyberspace know (needn't bother, he will never find his way to this part of the web) Wink

One for Marcus or anyone else, come to mention it!!

Do you intend taking your Nip to Ayr Scale Sail Day on Sunday, Steve Pickering, the organiser, told me, he would be delighted if Wee Nips joined in.

...Hi Guys...
If you go into Ayr on the Prestwick Road, Turn Left at the traffic Lights Just past the Hotel on the right,(Where you see the sign for the T.A. Barracks)Then turn Right...I Believe its in there somewhere...

I hope this helps...

P.S.

I am humbly seeking forgiveness for commiting the ultimate sin with Wee Johnny,s "WEE NIP"....

"No Eddie I Havent Dropped It...Its Even Worse THan That..."

" I Have Gone & Painted It GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRREEEEEYYYY...."

Will I be forgiven, due to the fact that it is only a Primer/Undercoat ?...

Grey Grey!!!

Hope the Sun shines on your new shiny sails, cos you won't see it Very Happy
Just as well Newton Park is small.
For the enrtance, corner of Seaforth Rd & Bellesleyhill Ave you can see it all on Google maps. If you zoom in really close, I'm sure that's McPhail practising with his Nip Shocked

Do you know if any of the other Guy's are coming?

Newton Park is sometimes called Northfield Park, even by the locals. And no, Google doesn't recognise that either.
But, for your edification, enjoyment and information, the entrance is at
55 deg 28' 42.87" N 4 deg 37' 04.31" W, off Bellesleyhill Avenue, at the corner of Bellesleyhill Avenue and Seaforth Road.

Mind you; I don't know why I'm saying all this, because the event is over. Wasn't it a treat, though! All those wee nips made a fine sight at the end of the afternoon.
And so what if I thought Scale Sail meant your boat had to be a scale model of something. The Mirror Dinghy qualified, but the Wee Nips were all hooligans.
Great fun; learned a lot; thanks for all the good advice.
I look forward to the pictures.
And did the red boat win...
