***New Scottish Record***

11 Nips took to the water at Queens Park

This beat the record held by Richmond, the difference being, all 10 Nips at Richmond, came from Richmond!

The Record Breakers

This time, there were 4 from Richmond, 2 each from Rouken Glen, Ayr & Queens Park Allan Pollock, with the only Nip in the East (for now)

Close racing from part of the fleet.

HMS WarsNip (complete with gun) at "Flank"speed

The start line seemed to have a "magnetic" marker at the start line, as a number of boats got caught up in it's anchorage at one time or another (including myself).

The event was video'ed for us by Michael Lonie, of "Grey Pointy Thing" Fame http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGh5AQDw1lA

Must try to beat a dozen next time

Had to change my website to let everyone know http://sites.google.com/site/theweenip/

I have been going through the pictures Michael took for me, managed to get rid of about 60, still got about 90, will add them to the site when I have time.

Been told there are Nips being/are built at other clubs, if you are up to a challenge, join us at Richmond (the home of the Nip) on the 3rd Sunday of the month for Nip Sunday, no serious persons allowed, if you don't have fun, your doing something wrong..

The "hooligans frae Ayr" are finding there is a whole new world out there. Rolling Eyes

Drop me a PM via the members list, if you plan on coming.

Eddie
